Luis Escamilla receives the Ignatius Loyola Award
Per Dean Sue Schmitt's explanation:
The award is given to two graduates of the MIT program each year. Each year the MIT faculty select one member of the fall and one member of the spring cohort to receive this honor.
Ignatius Loyola Award:
Presented annually to the outstanding graduating student's) in the College
of Education Teacher Education Program. Selection is based on academic
achievement, excellence in student teaching, evidence of commitment to
teaching, and evidence of leadership.

The Martinez Foundation Announces First Cohort of Martinez Fellows!
We are thrilled to announce that the first cohort of Martinez Fellows has been chosen!
- 5 Masters in Teaching students at the University of Washington will begin classes this spring.
- 5 Masters in Teaching students at Washington State University will begin this summer.
- 10 undergraduate students will begin classes in the fall.
